JIMS Rohini Organizes Two-Day AI in Marketing Workshop

Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS) successfully organized a two-day workshop on Artificial Intelligence in Marketing on 23rd and 24th Jan 2026. The workshop was designed to provide students with both theoretical foundations and practical exposure to emerging AI technologies such as Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI Voice Agent Models (Agentic AI).

The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between conceptual understanding and real-world application by incorporating hands-on activities, simulations, group discussions, and evaluation exercises offering students a comprehensive understanding of how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing marketing strategies and the technologies driving these changes.

Key Highlights of the Session (Day 1): -

The first day workshop was conducted by Ms. Deepika Gahlan, Assistant Professor, JIMS Rohini with an experience in Generative AI, prompt engineering, and Machine Learning provided strong academic grounding for the workshop. She began with an introduction to AI concepts and the participants developed a strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs) through interactive discussions and demonstrations. A major highlight was the hands-on training in prompt engineering, where students designed and refined domain-specific prompts to improve the quality and relevance of AI-generated outputs. The discussion on RPA, RAG, and AI simulators enabled participants to explore real-world decision-support systems and workflow automation. Special emphasis on Responsible AI helped students critically reflect on ethical issues, bias mitigation, and data privacy while using intelligent systems.

The session concluded with an interactive discussion and hands-on assessments, enabling students to better understand the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in managerial problem-solving. The second day workshop was conducted by Mr. Peush Bery , Founder and Director of Xtreme Gen AI Private Limited with a decade of experience in building and commercializing AI driven digital products. He started with an introduction to ChatGPT and the distinction between single-modal and multimodal models. He emphasized the importance of refining AI for greater efficiency and shared resources like OpenAI cookbooks to help developers harness AI technologies. He explained how automation, machine learning, and NLP streamlines marketing processes and enhance customer engagement. A major highlight was his discussion on prompt engineering, where he outlined strategies such as defining personas, using examples, and employing “chain of thought” techniques. He also explored the development of AI agents with LLMA frameworks, free APIs for innovation, and emerging technologies like Voice X and Invideo, while touching on concepts like perplexity for predictive accuracy.

The session concluded with a buoyant Q&A, where students had the opportunity to engage directly with Mr. Bery and gain further insights into AI models and marketing applications. His practical examples and thoughtful responses inspired the audience to explore the vast potential of AI.
