ATMA Syllabus

1. Analytical Reasoning

1. Critical reasoning, statements & conclusions, syllogisms, linear/circular seating, family trees, coding-decoding.

2. Verbal Skills

1. Reading comprehension passages (450–500 words), grammar spot-the-error, sentence completion, synonyms/antonyms, and jumbled sentences.

3. Quantitative Skills

1. Arithmetic (percentages, profit-loss), algebra (quadratics, logarithms), number systems, geometry & mensuration, time-speed-distance, permutations-combinations, binomial theorem.

Strategies to Keep in Mind

1. Reasoning: Draw diagrams for arrangements; note key words in critical-reasoning arguments to avoid confusing options.
2. Verbal: Solve RC first, as the accuracy tends to be higher. Maintain a vocab journal, and follow root-based learning pays.
3. Quant: Memorise square/cube tables and ratio equivalents to save time. Prioritise topics you can finish swiftly (averages, percentages) before diving into the geometry portion.

Tech & Logistics on Exam day

1. Reach the centre 60 minutes early for biometric verification.
2. Allowed items: admit card print-out, original ID, and a simple water bottle. Rough sheets & a pen are provided inside.
3. The test interface has a sectional countdown and allows question review within that section’s 30-minute window. Once time expires, you cannot revisit it.
4. System auto-submits at 5 PM sharp; any unanswered question fetches zero, not negative.

1. Late registration: Don’t keep the application for the last day, as there might be huge server issues. Aim to apply at least a week early.
2. Ignoring mock tests: ATMA is speed-centric. Practise at least five mock tests timed according to the schedule to master the speed.
3. Over-guessing: Since for every wrong answer, you suffer a 25% negative marking, random guessing can bring down the total score. However, if you can successfully narrow down the options to two, you can take a guess.

Timeline to Convert Your Score into a Seat

2. Early Sep: Apply to colleges still accepting Aug scores; many keep portals open till mid-September.
3. Sep-Oct: Participate in GD-PI or micro-presentation rounds (virtual or on-campus).
4. By Nov: Offers roll out; pay the initial fee to book your seat for the 2025-27 batch.
