As part of the orientation program for the new PGDM batch, JIMS Rohini organized a series of insightful sessions on Project Based Learning, which includes Self, Society and Organizations (SSO), Entrepreneurship Development through series of activities and workshop on 10th July 2025.
The day commenced with a session on “Introduction to SSO (Self, Society and Organizations)” led by Dr. Avijit Chakravarti, an experienced educator and social worker. The session emphasized the concepts through innovation, reflection, and immersion. Dr. Chakravarti introduced the pedagogical approach of experiential learning and showcased impactful moments from SSO projects undertaken by previous batches, inspiring students to think beyond conventional classroom learning.
Following this Dr. Sheetal Chadha, Professor at JIMS Rohini, conducted a session on “Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Family Business Projects.” The session highlighted the role of student start-ups and the relevance of modernizing family businesses using insights gained from the PGDM curriculum. It encouraged students to consider entrepreneurship and family business transformation as viable and exciting career paths.
The session then continued with a unique program on “Theatre Play” facilitated by Ms. Nupur Khosla, Founder of Theatricalls Production. Through theatre-based activities, students explored the values of empathy and human-centric design, critical for future business leaders. The interactive nature of the session prepared students for their upcoming project journeys under SSO or EDC.
These sessions marked the beginning of a transformational journey, blending learning with real-world purpose, creativity, and innovation.
