JIMS Rohini organised a mall visit to Vegas Mall, Dwarka for PGDM – Retail Management students (Batch 2025–27) on 6th August 2025 as part of the Principles & Concepts of Retail course. The session was led and coordinated by Dr. Bhavna Chadha, Visiting Faculty – JIMS, to provide students with experiential learning on modern retail operations, store management, and customer engagement.
Students were divided into 10 groups of 6 members each and visited multiple brand outlets to study store layout, visual merchandising, product categorisation, ERP & billing systems, and customer service. They also interacted with store staff and customers, documenting observations and recording short interviews to understand buying preferences and expectations.
For first-year Retail Management students, the visit served as an eye-opener—bridging theoretical learning with real-world retail practices and offering an early, practical perspective on the industry they are preparing to enter.
The experience helped students connect classroom concepts with actual store environments, gain exposure to diverse retail formats, and strengthen teamwork, observation, and communication skills. Overall, it was a hands-on learning opportunity aligned with JIMS’s mission to prepare future-ready retail professionals.
