On 23rd August, the college witnessed an electrifying sports event organized by the Sports Club – Sportastico, in collaboration with the Marketing Club – Marquest, held at the Shaheed Sukhdev College Campus Ground. The event brought together the PGDM 1st Year batch along with selected teams from the PGDM 2nd Year, making it a vibrant platform of energy, competition, and teamwork. The day began at 9:00 AM with eager participants gathering at the ground. The opening match was Cricket, where the enthusiastic first-year students geared up for a face-off. The event was officially kick-started with the toss conducted by Dr. Himanshu Goel, Convener of the Sports Club, symbolizing the commencement of the day’s competitions.
Adding to the excitement, the Marketing Club played a unique role by managing the behind-the-scenes coverage, pre-match introductions, post-match videos, and overall social media presence. This collaboration provided participants not only a sports experience but also a creative engagement with event promotion and branding. The event saw an overwhelming participation of more than 200 students, their enthusiasm and hunger to win showcasing the true spirit of sportsmanship. While the Cricket finals were unfortunately cut short due to rain, the Tug of War more than made up for it with intense contests. Both boys’ and girls’ teams displayed tremendous grit, pulling their way to a well-deserved victory and securing the first positions in their respective categories.
Not letting the rain dampen their spirits, the students turned to the Kabaddi arena. The wet ground only added to the thrill, as players slid, chased, and raided with unmatched energy. The matches were a spectacle of determination and raw passion, with the winning team securing first place amidst roaring cheers. The collaboration between Sportastico and Marquest proved to be a resounding success, seamlessly blending sportsmanship with creativity. The event stood as a testament to the students’ unity, competitive zeal, and resilience, ensuring that the day remains etched in memory as one filled with energy, teamwork, and unforgettable moments.
