Jagan Institute of Management Studies organized an engaging Alumni Session for the PGDM (2025–27) batch. The session was conducted by Mr. Shalabh Saxena, Deputy General Manager – Business Development at Craftsman Automation Limited and an alumnus of the 2014–16 batch.
Mr. Saxena shared his professional journey and valuable lessons that help bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world corporate experiences. He offered practical tips for group discussions and personal interviews, emphasizing the importance of confidence and authenticity. He advised students to express themselves genuinely rather than rely on memorized responses.
Mr. Saxena also encouraged students to enhance their communication skills through reading, observation, and active participation in discussions. His insights on building a strong introduction, maintaining respectful behavior, and showing curiosity were especially inspiring.
He further spoke about developing a performance-oriented mindset, highlighting that success comes from preparation, presence, and perseverance, not luck or shortcuts.
Overall, the session was highly motivating and gave students a clearer perspective on managing their academic and professional growth. It inspired them to pursue continuous self-improvement, effective communication, and strategic goal-setting.
