Alumni Session on “Fundamentals of Digital Marketing” held on September 09, 2025
JIMS, Rohini invited one of its esteemed alumni Mr. Ankit Arora. A PGDM (2010-12) batch
pass out, Mr. Arora is currently the Region Head-Branded content at Zee Media Corporation
Limited. The session aimed to provide industry exposure to the current batch of PGDM
students and acquaint them with the opportunities and threats of the digital era.

Mr. Ankit Arora began with sharing his journey from JIMS to becoming an Industry person.
He candidly recalled all the challenges he faced and how he managed to overcome them to
gain expertise in his domain. Introducing students to the core pillars of digital marketing,
including SEO, SEM, social media strategy, content marketing, and analytics, he emphasized
how digital platforms have reshaped consumer behaviour and brand communication, making
digital literacy an essential skill for all aspiring managers.

He also shared a few case studies from his work at Zee Media, highlighting how branded
content and storytelling play a crucial role in engaging audiences and building trust in a
competitive market. The session underlined the importance of blending creativity with data.
All in all, an inspiring and practical session, it helped bridged classroom concepts with
industry applications.

The session has been a testament to the strong alumni network of JIMS, Rohini, showcasing
how the PGDM graduates continue to contribute meaningfully to both their workplace
organizations and their alma mater.
