JIMS Rohini organized an engaging and practical workshop for PGDM students on “Prompt Engineering in AI” on 17th Jan 2026 with the objective of introducing them to the practical applications of artificial intelligence tools and highlighting the growing importance of prompt design in effective decision-making and business problem-solving. The session was conducted by Dr. Shrajal Gupta, Assistant Professor, JIMS, Rohini, an academic and researcher with expertise in artificial intelligence, data-driven technologies, and emerging digital tools.
Dr. Gupta provided an overview of AI fundamentals and the concept of prompt engineering, emphasizing how well-structured prompts can significantly improve the quality of AI outputs and decision accuracy. Through hands-on demonstrations and real-time examples, students explored prompt-based interactions for business and academic use cases, along with discussions on ethical considerations and responsible AI usage. The interactive nature of the session enabled students to relate AI concepts to management functions such as marketing, finance, HR, and operations, enhancing their analytical thinking, productivity, and innovation skills while building awareness of the relevance of prompt engineering in contemporary management practices.
