JIMS, Rohini organized an academic guest session for PGDM students on “Data Analytics in R” on 17th Jan 2026 with the objective of strengthening analytical capabilities and enhancing hands-on exposure to data-driven decision-making tools used in contemporary business environments.
The session was conducted by Dr. Himanshu Goel, Assistant Professor, JIMS, Rohini, an academician and researcher with expertise in data analytics, statistical modeling, and programming for business intelligence. He introduced students to the fundamentals of data analytics and its significance in managerial decision-making, followed by an overview of the R programming environment and its applications in business analytics.
Through live demonstrations, students gained practical insights into data handling, visualization, and basic statistical analysis using R, along with interpreting analytical outputs for strategic business insights. The interactive and application-oriented approach of the session helped bridge the gap between theory and practice, enabling students to enhance their analytical understanding, gain practical exposure to R, and develop the ability to interpret data for informed managerial decisions.
The session aligned with the institute’s focus on technology-enabled learning and industry-relevant management education.
