The PGDM–International Business Department of Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), Rohini organized an industrial visit on 6th February 2026 to Adani Mundra Port, Gujarat for the students of Batch 2025–27. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to real-world industrial and logistics operations and enhance their understanding of global trade mechanisms.
Adani Mundra Port, India’s largest commercial port and one of the country’s most significant logistics hubs, plays a crucial role in facilitating international trade and strengthening supply chain efficiency. During the visit, students observed modern port infrastructure, advanced and automated cargo-handling systems, and well-integrated logistics operations. They also gained insights into strict safety, quality, and environmental standards followed by the industry, along with the importance of technological integration and infrastructure in ensuring operational efficiency.
Interaction with industry professionals helped students understand supply chain integration, export-import procedures, and coordination with global shipping and trade partners. The visit further provided first-hand exposure to large-scale industrial operations and highlighted Gujarat’s strong pro-business environment, innovation-driven approach, and contribution to India’s global trade competitiveness, making the overall experience highly insightful and enriching for the students.
