The PGDM Department at Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), Rohini organized a workshop on “Personal Finance” on 22nd January 2026 with the objective of enhancing students’ financial literacy and promoting responsible money management. The initiative aimed to equip students with practical knowledge and skills required for effective financial planning and informed decision-making.
The session was conducted by Mr. Puneet Oberoi, Director, Finwise Services Pvt. Ltd. who shared valuable insights on budgeting, saving strategies, investment planning, risk management, insurance and long-term wealth creation. Through real-life examples and interactive discussions, he emphasized the importance of early financial discipline and systematic planning in achieving financial stability.
The workshop adopted an engaging and application-oriented approach, featuring case studies, practical scenarios, and interactive question-and-answer sessions. Students actively participated, gaining clarity on financial goal setting, managing expenses, and choosing suitable investment avenues based on individual needs and risk appetite.
