Jagan Institute of Management Studies organised a session for PGDM students on 14th March 2026. The session on Mastering Sales Management provided practical insights into sales strategies, leadership, and real-world applications in FMCG and channel sales. Mr. Prashant Kumar, a JIMS Rohini MBA graduate (2015–2017) with nearly 10 years of experience at organizations like GlaxoSmithKline and Gulf Oil, shared his professional journey and industry knowledge.
The session emphasized learning through real experiences rather than theory. Key topics included understanding customer needs, effective communication, handling objections, and decision-making in sales situations. Mr. Kumar also highlighted the importance of adaptability and persistence for success in the field.
Students gained a clearer understanding of how sales functions in the corporate world, helping bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry practice. The session encouraged the development of confidence, negotiation skills, and problem-solving abilities.
