JIMS Rohini Welcomes PGDM Batch 2026–28 with an Inspiring Orientation Programme

JIMS Rohini hosted its Orientation Programme from 1st to 8th July 2026 to welcome the new batch of PGDM, PGDM-IB, and PGDM-RM (2026–28) students. The week-long programme marked the beginning of a transformative academic journey, introducing students to the institute's values, academic culture and commitment to excellence.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge followed by a welcome address by Dr. Harshvardhan Halwe, Director General and Dr. Pooja Jain, Director who encouraged students to embrace learning, innovation and the opportunities that would shape them into future business leaders.

The inaugural session featured eminent industry leaders who shared valuable insights and experiences. Ms. Sonia Nagpal, National Campus Strategy and Programmes Leader at Deloitte US India Offices, inspired students to discover their passion, remain adaptable and pursue careers with purpose. Mr. Ishwar Dutt Sharma, Executive Vice President & Head – Talent Academy Capacity Building at Niva Bupa, discussed emerging opportunities in the insurance sector and highlighted the professional competencies expected from future managersDr.Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (HR), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, introduced students to the McKinsey 7S Framework, emphasizing the importance of aligning technical expertise with interpersonal and leadership skills.

The orientation also featured an engaging interaction with Mr. Kumar Nachiketa , People Services Leader, Walmart India IDC/GCC and a proud JIMS alumnus (PGDBM 1994–96)  . Sharing his professional journey, he reflected on overcoming challenges, adapting to changing business environments and the growing role of technology and artificial intelligence in shaping careers. His session encouraged students to develop resilience, remain curious, and embrace lifelong learning.

The programme concluded with a highly interactive motivational session by Coach Sushil Arora, who inspired students to approach their MBA journey with enthusiasm, confidence and a growth mindset.

Students were also introduced to the distinguished faculty members and programme Deans, who provided an overview of the curriculum, academic expectations and the support system available throughout their management education. The Orientation Programme set an inspiring tone for the academic session, reaffirming JIMS Rohini's commitment to nurturing competent, ethical, and industry-ready management professionals.
