As a part of the Orientation Week for the new batch of PGDM, PGDM (International Business) and PGDM (Retail Management), JIMS Rohini organised an insightful session on "Mindset for Success." from 2nd-3rd July 2026. The session was conducted by Ms. Surbhi Jain, Corporate Advisor and Trainer at Hire Pundit and Adjunct Professor at JIMS.
Drawing from her personal journey of overcoming stage fear, Ms. Jain inspired students by demonstrating how consistent practice, perseverance and self-belief pave the way to confidence and excellence. She introduced the concepts of Fixed Mindset and Growth Mindset, explaining how an individual's mindset shapes both personal and professional success. She further shared a practical four-step framework for developing a growth mindset “Catch It, Challenge It, Change It and Create Evidence” encouraging students to identify limiting beliefs, question them, replace them with empowering thoughts and reinforce positive change through action.
The session featured engaging activities on Blame Frame and Outcome Frame thinking, enabling students to shift their focus from problems to solutions and from excuses to accountability. Through an effective demonstration using three water bottles, Ms. Jain highlighted the importance of remaining open to learning, embracing change and welcoming new opportunities.
The highly interactive session encouraged active participation and meaningful reflection, motivating students to cultivate a positive mindset, build resilience and adopt practical strategies for achieving long-term personal and professional success.
