JIMS Rohini organised workshop on "Goal Setting” from 2nd-3rd July 2026 which was conducted by Mr. Naveen Kumar Singh, General Manager - Category, Reliance Retail. The session was designed to help students understand the importance of setting meaningful goals, developing a clear vision for their future, and cultivating the discipline required to achieve long-term success.
Drawing inspiration from the remarkable journeys of MS Dhoni, Neeraj Chopra, Ritesh Agarwal, Mary Kom, Falguni Nayar, and PV Sindhu, Mr. Singh illustrated how perseverance, resilience, and unwavering commitment enable individuals to overcome challenges and accomplish extraordinary achievements. Through relatable examples, he encouraged students to view setbacks as opportunities for learning and growth rather than obstacles.
A key highlight of the session was the introduction to the SMART Goal Framework—Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Mr. Singh explained how this structured approach helps transform aspirations into realistic and actionable goals. He emphasized that effective goal setting is not merely about defining a destination but also about creating a systematic roadmap with measurable milestones, regular self-evaluation, and continuous improvement.
By the end of the session, participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of planning, perseverance, and accountability in achieving success.
