Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), Rohini, organized an industrial visit to BFDS, Bahadurgarh on 9th July 2026, for the PGDM-IB students to provide practical exposure to footwear manufacturing and its integration with production, quality assurance, sales, and marketing.
The visit began with an overview of the footwear manufacturing process, where students gained insights into raw material inspection, testing procedures, and quality standards essential for producing durable and export-ready products. They observed the stitching unit, where precision, skilled craftsmanship, and advanced machinery ensure product quality and consistency. The production floor demonstrated how different manufacturing stages are coordinated to achieve operational efficiency while maintaining strict quality control.
Students also witnessed the final inspection and testing processes that ensure every product meets customer expectations before packaging and dispatch. These practical demonstrations helped them understand the importance of quality assurance in building customer trust and enhancing brand reputation.
The visit concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, where students interacted with industry experts on production planning, quality management, and career opportunities in the sector. The industrial visit successfully bridged classroom learning with industrial practices, enriching students' understanding of the close relationship between manufacturing excellence and effective sales and marketing strategies in today's competitive business environment.
