The Project-Based Learning (PBL) Orientation Session was organized for the first-year PGDM students of JIMS Rohini on 23rd July 2026 in the A-Building Auditorium. The session aimed to familiarize students with the objectives of Project-Based Learning (PBL), Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), and Social Service Organization (SSO) initiatives, while inspiring them to actively participate in experiential learning throughout their management program.
The orientation commenced with a video presentation showcasing the achievements and activities of the previous PBL batch, giving students an overview of the projects and learning experiences undertaken by their seniors. This was followed by a welcome address and introduction by the senior student coordinators, who explained the significance of PBL in developing practical management skills.
The highlight of the session was an insightful expert talk by Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Director, SSCBS Innovation and Incubation Foundation (SIIF), on "The Entrepreneurial Mindset in Start-ups and Employability." He emphasized the importance of innovation, problem-solving, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial approach in today's competitive business environment. His interactive session concluded with an engaging question-and-answer segment, where students clarified their doubts regarding entrepreneurship and career opportunities.
The orientation also featured a Founder Talk by Dr. Srishti Sharma, Founder of Shakti Wearables, who shared her entrepreneurial journey, the challenges of building a startup, and the importance of perseverance and innovation. Dr. Sheetal Chadda then briefed students about the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) initiatives planned for 2026. At the end Mr. Anurag Lala, a student entrepreneur and Founder of MarkHub24, shared his entrepreneurial journey. He spoke about how he started his venture with the vision of making practical marketing knowledge accessible to students and professionals. His journey inspired the audience to explore entrepreneurship alongside their academic pursuits followed by a Quiz by the EDC Student Team.
The post-break session focused on the Social Service Organization (SSO). Dr. Avijit Chakravarti and Ms. Esha Razzdan interacted with students, followed by an engaging ice-breaking session conducted by Ms. Nupur Khosla, Founder of Theatricalls Production. Students from the NGO Choti Si Khushi presented their initiatives, inspiring students to contribute to meaningful social causes. The session concluded with senior students sharing their experiences and an interactive Q&A session.
Overall, the PBL Orientation Session was highly informative, interactive, and motivating. It provided students with a comprehensive understanding of project-based learning, entrepreneurship, innovation, and social responsibility while encouraging them to actively participate in experiential learning opportunities offered at JIMS Rohini.
