The event was based on the theme “India@2047 – Freedom and Aspirations”. It was designed around the idea of allowing students to creatively express their understanding of freedom and their aspirations for the future of India. It consisted of two competitive activities and one non-competitive creative display corner.
Enact – “My India in 2047”
Participants presented their vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 through short group drama performances. They used imagination, acting and teamwork to portray their aspirations for India’s future.
Speak Up – “Freedom to me is …”
Students worked in small groups to create a 60-second film/reel expressing what freedom means to them. The films had to be conceptualised, shot (within the college campus) and edited by the participants.
Freedom Canvas
Freedom Canvas was the non-competitive creative corner where students could individually write or draw their thoughts about freedom. The canvas became a collective expression of diverse perspectives on freedom, democracy, responsibility and nation-building.
Objectives of the Event:
- To provide students with a platform to express their ideas and creativity through drama, filmmaking and visual art.
- To encourage students to reflect on freedom, democracy, responsibility and their aspirations for India’s future.
- To develop imagination, originality and confidence in self-expression.
- To promote teamwork, coordination and creative collaboration through group-based activities.
- To encourage students to think about the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and their role in nation-building.
