As part of the Project-Based Learning initiative of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC),JIMS(Jagan Institute of Management Studies), Sec-05, Rohini, Delhia, hands-on workshop on “Digital & AI-Based Platform Building” was organised on 27 September 2026 with the objective of helping students transform startup ideas into functional digital platforms. The session was led by Mr Lucky Khanna, Founder of Achievior and SME–Data Scientist at Denave. With experience in data science, enterprise analytics and research at IIM Ahmedabad, Mr Khanna brought a strong practical perspective to the session. Following a formal felicitation, the workshop
moved quickly from concepts to application, guiding students through the essentials of creating, launching and improving a digital platform.
Students worked on key aspects of website development, including logo and visual creation, interface design, content structuring, domain and hosting basics, and deployment. Tools and platforms such as Google AI Studio, Google Analytics, GitHub, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Canva and Figma were introduced to show how emerging ventures can build and scale their digital presence efficiently. Students were also informed about opportunities to access several services free or at reduced cost through student accounts. The workshop covered API integration with services such as email, WhatsApp and payment gateways, along with important aspects of data privacy, secure credentials and responsible digital access. Google Analytics was also demonstrated to help students understand website traffic and visitor behaviour. The session remained highly interactive, with teams raising project-specific questions and receiving practical guidance on strengthening their platforms.
The workshop culminated in a live platform showcase, where student teams presented the websites and prototypes they had developed and received individual feedback from the resource person. The exercise moved learning beyond demonstration to actual creation, enabling several teams to leave the session with functional prototypes that could be further developed for their EDC ventures. Mr. Anurag Lala of PGDM and his
team received the Best Platform Award for their work. EDC In-chargesDr. Sheetal Chadda and Dr. Vikas Kumar Tyagi were present throughout the workshop, facilitating interaction, clarifying doubts and supporting the smooth conduct of the session. The workshop ultimately gave students a clearer understanding of how an entrepreneurial idea can progress from concept to a working digital platform using accessible technology, AI tools and sound digital practices.
