The Deal Room – The Retail Challenge: An Experiential Retail Challenge by the Creador Club at JIMS Rohini
The Creador Retail Club of JIMS Rohini successfully organized “The Deal Room – The Retail Challenge” on 2nd September 2026. The interactive event was designed to test students’ creativity, branding, packaging, pitching, negotiation, decision-making, and adaptability through a series of competitive retail challenges.
The event began with 32 teams participating in a Questionnaire Round, from which 16 teams advanced. The Chinese Whisper Game further tested communication and teamwork, narrowing the competition to 9 teams for the main challenge.
The shortlisted teams were assigned products and given 30 minutes to create innovative packaging and develop a complete product identity, including the brand name, logo, tagline, USP, pricing, and target customer. This was followed by a Product Pitch and Barter Round, where teams presented their products and negotiated transactions with other teams.
Adding an element of surprise, the Deal or No Deal round gave the team left without a barter another opportunity to secure a transaction. Team Spark successfully secured the deal. Teams then faced the Market Twist, where they were given another 30 minutes to modify an element of their bartered product and adapt their branding strategy to the changed market situation.
The event concluded with the Final Presentation Round, where teams presented their modified products and strategies before the judges. The final round assessed creativity, branding, negotiation, adaptability, and presentation skills.
