As part of the Orientation Programme 2026, Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), Rohini, organized an engaging Workshop on Time Management for the new PGDM Batch 2026–28. The session was conducted by Mr. Gagandeep Arora, Leadership Coach and Corporate Trainer, who presented a unique perspective on time management by linking it with leadership, character, ethics, and personal values.
The workshop emphasized that while today's business world is driven by technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), strategy, and performance, long-term success depends on strong character, discipline, and ethical decision-making. Drawing inspiration from the timeless teachings of the Uddhav Gita, the speaker explained how ancient wisdom remains highly relevant in helping future managers navigate the complexities of the modern corporate environment.
One of the key messages of the session was "Vivekwaan Hi Vijaywaan Hota Hai," highlighting that true success belongs to individuals who possess Vivek—the wisdom to evaluate alternatives, anticipate consequences, and make informed decisions. Students were encouraged to prioritize their activities, manage distractions, and use their time wisely by focusing on tasks that contribute to their long-term academic and professional goals.
The workshop also highlighted the importance of mindfulness and inner strength in managing time effectively.
